Eastertide

The liturgical calendar has developed over the course of the Church’s history and organizes the year into seasons that rehearse the Gospel story and invite us to live within it. Eastertide is the season from Easter Sunday to Pentecost when we celebrate the resurrection and ascension of Christ. The colors switch to white and gold to mark the celebratory nature of the season and the passages emphasize the final words and acts of Jesus on earth, helping us to consider our own call as Christians as we walk through life towards the wedding feast of the Lamb.
