Ancient faith for
the modern age.

Church of the Ascension is an Anglican congregation in Carolina Forest, gathered around Holy Communion, honest community, and a way of worship that's older than any of us. If you grew up in liturgy and drifted, or you've never set foot in a service like this, you're welcome at the table.

Who We Are

We're a young Anglican congregation, planted in Carolina Forest to give this community a place to pray the way Christians have prayed for centuries — through the Book of Common Prayer, the Church calendar, and Communion shared each week. We're small on purpose. We know each other's names, we notice when someone's missing, and we'd rather grow slowly around real relationships than fill a room.

Led by Fr. Cameron Crickenberger, we're part of the Anglican Church in North America, carrying forward a tradition much older than any of us while staying rooted in this particular place and the people in it.

What to Expect

If liturgy is new to you, here's the shape of it: we pray the same words Christians have prayed for centuries, we share Communion together, and the service moves in a steady, unhurried rhythm rather than building toward a single moment. It's shared, not staged — there isn't a performance to watch or a response expected of you.

Whatever your questions, whatever your history with church, you're not required to resolve any of it before you show up. Kids are welcome in the service, and newcomers are never asked to stand up or introduce themselves.

Come and Join the Feast

Holy Communion: Every Sunday at 4:00p.m.
followed by a potluck feast each week.

We meet at Celebration Presbyterian Church, 2300 Carolina Forest Boulevard, Myrtle Beach.

Service is followed every week by a potluck feast. Feel free to bring a dish if you'd like, but please join us even if you don't. Some of our best conversations happen over folding tables, not in seats.

There's no stage, no spotlight, and nothing expected of you. Come as you are. Sit, stand, kneel, or just watch. No one will single you out, and no one will ask you to explain where you're coming from.

Right Now in the Church Year

We're currently in Trinitytide, the long season after Pentecost that carries the Church through the ordinary rhythm of the year. The color of the season is green, a sign of steady, unhurried growth. See below for upcoming feast days and services.

Weekly Morning Prayer

Tuesdays, 7:00a.m. & Thursdays, 8:00a.m.
The Well by the Sea Anglican Church

211 Forestbrook Rd. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579

We also gather twice a week for Morning Prayer. This is a shorter, quieter gathering that is open to anyone. We will go through morning prayer in the Book of Common Prayer as assigned for the day’s date.
